Le canal du midi Built between 1666 and 1680 by Pierre Paul Riquet, the Canal shapes the landscapes of its works in stone and its raised meanders. Between the rich lands with wheat of Lauraguais and the vineyards of Minervois, the canal leads the water of the Black Mountains towards the Mediterranean sea. It was recently classified in the world heritage by Unesco.
